I just turned 62 and realized that I’ve fallen way off from where I used to be with my strength. I’m not trying to be ridiculous to the point that I injure myself… but I would like to get some of it back. @Dirtnasty can OHP more than I can currently squat. I’m not ashamed, he’s a strong dude…I just want some of my strength back.
EDIT my goals have changed the post on the October post will explain
My goals for my 63rd birthday are a 405 squat and 315 bench. I will most likely wrap my knees and use wrist wraps. Kicking the idea around of using my old single ply stuff but that’s extremely aggravating.
I’m going to use the 5/3/1 template for bench and squat. 3rd day will be lats traps etc.
I just took maxes on sq and bp… 275 and 225. They were conservative with a rpe of about 7-8. So I will be basing all the training percentages off of those.
I also would like to stay at or below 190lbs bw. It’s been a struggle keeping my weight down…for health reasons.
Chems will be test cyp 150-250 a week… tbol 12.5-50 pwo only…maybe some prov when I obtain some more.
Brother…I’ve been analyzing this for about two months… I had decided on wendlers 531 for the economy of it all… when you posted about your ohp press numbers… it really sunk in… I got to do something before I totally lose all my strength.
Im trying to decide if I go ahead and do loose cut over the next few months loose meaning I’ll still eat all the holiday food but try and drop down to 290 by nd of year
With my leg feeling about 100 now my brain says we should have went for third rep. My rational brain says well we didn’t worsen e injury that’s why we got total and will not be set back for bigger future numbers
I just keep thinking if I had to fight you,how would I go about it,I don’t want to stand toe to toe, your to big for me,so my conclusion is,I’m just gonna have to shoot you @Dirtnasty. …with the 30-30 from a football field away.
