Old Mans Rant AND Heart Break

Getting up early and reading our local news online…looking at the latest mugshots on our sheriffs website.

There’s a young lady that grew up with my oldest daughter, literally since grade school. My oldest was always one of the smartest kids in school and one of the “cool kids”.

This other girl was severely handicapped from birth. I don’t remember the actual defect but her legs were mangled and she walked with crutches/braces. My daughters little band of friends took her in and treated her no differently. She was a beautiful little girl. She had been at several massive sleep overs at the house… i had evan Williams to keep me sane hahaha. Through the years she required several surgeries to help her. She eventually was able to lose the crutches but walked extremely “funny “. Still beautiful smart and popular. Everyone liked her. She had nice parents. She’s got an Eastern Europe last name. Don’t remember origins of her family.

She ended up working at a tattoo shop in her early 20’s. The shop was owned by one of my daughters girlfriends. She did my “RAGE “ tat on by back.

Shortly after my tatt…I started to see this little handicap girl popping up on the arrest blotter. Talking with my daughter, she said she went down “that path”. Over the course of time her charges increasingly became more serious….narcotics and such.

Last night, apparently, she got busted again. This morning I seen her on the blotter for trafficking meth heroin etc. she is a beautiful young lady but will probably go to prison for quite some time.

This just breaks my heart. That young lady has made some terrible choices. I’m kind of beside myself right now. I’ve known her since almost kindergarten and she had the whole world in front of her…a life wasted.

Sorry to hear this bro. Someone she trusts needs to speak to her to get her to understand the future and make the right choices. I know so many I grew up with in prison or dead already. Even had a relative that spent more time in prison then he did outside prison in his life until he died.

I’m thinking it’s too late. We’re in an extremely conservative area with bad drug problems. The da will probably put her away for 10 years or more.

I get it. I’m not judging either. Just very dismayed.

I get the buzz part but she had so much going for her. Trafficking is a serious charge. She’s had distribution charges in the past.

I’ll say this if they found one of the packages we get that’s a trafficking charge most
Likely as well

I’ve seen some of my kids friends head down this path. Really good kids. Just really bad choices. Hopefully her sentence won’t be that long and it scares her straight.

Poppy, prison might save her. It did me.

I was told from my primary care doc back in 2014 that the fair aids act of 2000 allows anyone to not only possess, but also use any medication that was ever prescribed to you or the closest variation there of. Now I never read it but this was my trt doc who told me this.
AIDS related meds were astronomical in price here in the states so people were permitted to attain through other imported means but didn’t limit it to only hiv related medication.
If this is bullshit neuro will probably know but I swear my doc told me all this

at e pertains to non scheduled drugs but roids are
Scheduled. Like you won’t get in trouble for getting cialis or telmisartin in the mail up to certain amounts. But steroids is another story. I’m not saying you will see prison time as I think cbums sister didn’t have to do any but also would depend on amounts abs what not

Ive known of several sources busted thru the years and none did jail time that only sold steroids. The ones mixing it up with guns and other drugs tho have done time.

Yeah as long as you’re not manufacturing yiur probably alright it’s not high on the schedule list. And a lot of law enforcement agents are guilty. The biggest thing for us how you receive it and that it usually crosses state lines.

That just makes it a fed case and not just a local case any longer. But many of those cases are given probation as well.

Correct like I said I think cbums sister got orobabtion and they had it sent from Canada to florida. They always trump up charges to negotiate in pleas. Like I’m sure this persons trafficking charge will be dropped unless it’s large amount she had
