Ok back in gym today juat did machine work on chest still feel achy so not pushing anything especially with being on antibiotics I thought I remember reading some will weaken tendons or sowmthing so no reason to push just getting nice pumps
Machine work will have you leaving the gym feeling huge and at the same time feeling like you didn’t do much

I wouldn’t go heavy. Maybe 60% of usual. Concentrate on form and just rep it out. I have to do the same ever so often with squats because of my knees.
Problem is I’m already at like 60 of max haha doing reps bows when I got to start prepping for heavy weights 14 weeks out
When I baby my knees I’ll hit from 15-25 reps for 4-6 sets. I train mostly to be pretty though
8 reps on squats is as high as I will go. I’ll Get on a machine if I’m doig cardio
Jay Cutler said the magic number was between 12-15 reps. Nick Walker says 20-25 but there’s a big difference in powerlifting and bodybuilding.
I think for body building you need to build the shit first with some heavy lifting. But eventually move to the higher. I guarantee nick isn’t squating in that rep range
